Edgar Allan Poe was an American writer, poet, critic and editor best known for evocative short stories and poems that captured the imagination and interest of readers around the world. He was born on January 19,1809, in Boston, Massachusetts.

What was he famous for?


He became famous because he was an very important writer that he wrote much horror and dark storys and poems and for his mysterious imagination.

Did get married? 

Yes, he married when he had only 13 years with Virginia.

How did he die?

Poe died on October 7,1849. He was died with mystery, but much people said that he died with congestion in the brain. His actual cause of death has been the subject of endless speculation. And some experts believe that alcoholism is the cause.
